The Innovadores Foundation Internship Program
The Innovadores Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the development of Cuban high school and undergraduate students who have demonstrated exceptional talent in science, engineering, art, design and mathematics. Every summer, the foundation sponsors internships with startup companies at Grand Central Tech in New York City. This program provides students with the opportunity to work under the mentorship of top professionals in their fields.
Those who apply must demonstrate academic success in science, technology, engineering, arts or mathematics. All must possess creative and interpersonal skills that allow them to generate ideas and work with others to refine and develop those ideas. Applicants must be able to write and speak in English, sufficient to communicate with other participants and their employers. The minimum age to apply is 16 years old.
All expenses for the travel, including visa fees, air and land travel, tuition, materials and lodging, will be covered by the foundation. The internship will be based at Grand Central Tech in New York City and take place from early July to mid-August.
